Image Vault: Totalitarianism and the Origins of the Second World War

Since the 1930s, black and white and color film is available to historians and students of history. For the era of totalitarianism, we are fortunate to have many films and film clips available on the World Wide Web. Item One: The German Propaganda Archive at Calvin College-The single best archive of Nazi propaganda images, speeches and documents. Item Two: The Photo Archive at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum-searchable database of 16,000 images on the Holocaust, the Nazi regime and World War II. Most are black and white photographs. Item Three: World War II Multimedia Database-Collected images about Japan and World War II primarily from the National Archives Image Database. Item Four: Pictures of World War II-Great collection of WWII photographs, posters and images from the United States' National Archive and Record Administration.
