Teachingpoint specializes in on-site training for teachers, faculty and/or staff in the most popular instructional/educational technology tools and programs. We work collaboratively with teachers, faculty and staff at their schools/institutions on their machines in their labs/classrooms so that they are learning on the systems that they use everyday. As educators, we understand hardware and software limitations and aim to work with you to get the most out of your instructional/educational technology without expensive add-ons or additional purchases. Apple or PC platforms, we provide a "hands-on" approach to learning and using instructional technology in the classroom.

Curriculum integration/enrichment with technology.
At Teachingpoint we understand that instructional and educational technology must be seamlessly integrated into classroom pedagogy, curriculum design and content delivery. We work collaboratively with teachers to develop classroom strategies, skills and practices for effectively integrating instructional technology into individual teaching styles and methods. We work with district and school curriculum directors (or independently) to help teachers discover, develop and sustain innovative integration of technology and technology-mediated content in specific disciplines throughout the curriculum. While this is an evolving area of our work, we have worked with teachers and schools to:
- develop institution and class specific "Resource Pages" on the World Wide Web providing pre-screened, annotated Web resources and content sites for teachers, students and parents.
- work with teachers in specific departments on how to integrate multimedia presentations, Web resources and electronic content into everyday teaching, projects and assessments.
- work collaboratively with teachers to create individualized "virtual classrooms" and online homework sites to reinforce and expand classroom teaching and learning experiences.
Web-design and maintenance of Web sites for districts, schools, classes.
Teachingpoint specializes in creating, redesigning, and/or maintaining educational Web sites for school districts, individual schools and institutions, individual educators, classes or organizations. Our talented Web designers work closely with educators and technology staff to customize the Web site for use with teachers, students, administrators and parents. With our unique strategic partnership with a local, high quality Web hosting company, we can help you secure a domain name (www.yourschool.org etc.) and host your Web site for a low monthly or yearly fee.
Technology planning, design and implementation for new and existing buildings.
Teachingpoint consults on all aspects of planning, review and implementation of educational technology for your school district or institution. Whether your town or institution is building a new school or facility, redesigning or renovating an existing one or simply planning for new technology in classrooms, Teachingpoint has the experience to do help you do it correctly and efficiently the first time. Working with teachers, administrators, building committees, project managers and technology design firms, Teachingpoint helps make sure that the technology and its design meets your educational needs, serves the teachers using it and meets the expected outcomes of the planned project. Teachingpoint's services include:
- facilitating focus groups with teachers, administrators and staff regarding vision, scope and outcomes for instructional technology BEFORE building design and construction/renovation begins.
- assisting teachers, administrators and staff in choosing the right technology to meet their specific educational needs and ensuring that this technology is integrated into the design and planning of the project.
- follow-up during the construction phase of the project to ensure that the promised instructional technology was put in the building and that the design remained true to its original plan.
- introduce and initiate teachers, administrators and staff to using the new instructional technology upon project completion.
Planning, strategy and grant-writing for educational technology.
Teachingpoint understands the limitations of educational budgets and the importance of effective long and short-range planning and grant writing in all areas of instructional and educational technology. Teachingpoint consults with school committees, planning committees, administrators, staff and teachers to develop individualized technology plans for educational institutions, school districts, and/or schools. We assist institutions, school districts and their staffs in identifying state and federal technology grants and offer services including grant consultation, grant writing and grant implementation.
